What we Believe

We believe that both Old and New Testaments constitute the divinely inspired Word of God that is inerrant in the original manuscripts and possesses authority over all human life.

We believe  in one God who exists eternally and relationally in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin and became man without ceasing to be God, in order that he might reveal God and redeem sinful humanity.  Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, rose again from the dead, and ascended back into Heaven.  Jesus will physically and personally return to the earth one day to rule as King over all creation.

We believe that the Holy Spirit came form from the Father and the Son to convict of sin, call to repentance, draw unto salvation, sanctify believers, and enable believers for service.

We believe that God created all things in six days while uniquely creating humanity in His own image beginning with Adam, the origin of the entire humans race.

We believe that through the first created person, Adam, sin marred God's image within humanity so that humanity is totally depraved and utterly unable to remedy its lost condition.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God offered through Jesus Christ alone.  It is received by faith and constitutes both the completed work of Jesus (justification - being declared righteous) and the on-going work of the Holy Spirit (sanctification - being made righteous).

We believe in the water baptism of believers that testifies to identification with Jesus Christ in His example, death, and resurrection.

We believe in the observance of the Lord's Supper commemorating the sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Savior for all and the promise of his victorious return.

We believe we are called to a life of humility and service to others as modeled through the life and death of Jesus Christ.

We believe God ordained marriage to be a covenantal relationship between one man and one woman until death.

We believe the life of the believer is to be separated from the world by holy and consistent conduct before God and man as a life-giving light.

We believe that the true Church is the entire, worldwide body of believers who find their identity and means of unity in Christ Jesus, the found and only Head of the Church.  The body exists to be the body and presence of Christ to the world.

We believe in the personal and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ signifying His final and complete triumph over all.

We believe in the bodily resurrection from the dead.  Our eternal destiny is determined by God's grace and our response to that grace.  The righteous will rise to eternal life and rest with Christ in heaven.  The unrighteous will fall to eternal suffering apart from Christ in hell.
